We believe good things are happening all around us. Sometimes you just have to know where to look.
Jaymes and Erin Lackey have a heart for the community of Butte County and the greater Northern California region. We were both born and raised in Oroville (delivered by the same doctor, actually!) and after a couple of years in Seattle, we chose to come home in 2014.
Choosing to live where you grew up has its perks and its challenges. But this place is home.
Hearts of Gold grew from a simple idea: seek out and share the golden nuggets that remind us why we continue to choose this community.
The people doing good work. The teachers, business owners, coaches, artists, volunteers, neighbors, and ordinary people making our corner of the world a little better.
These are stories worth noticing. Stories worth sharing.
Because when you look for the gold, you start seeing it everywhere.
